A designated space for fans to invest in WWE.

Creating a platform which brings fans closer to the action, by giving them the opportunity to own a piece of WWE.

The challenge

Fox wanted to create a dedicated space for the WWE fandom to come together and invest in the Universe. This platform would host a marketplace where fans could buy and sell NFTs of epic Superstars, legendary matches, and iconic moments from WWE history.

The platform needed to look and feel like the WWE brand, with the all-important marketplace experience feeling as easy as trading old-school collectables.

We identified that the user persona of a WWE fan as someone not necessarily well versed in emerging tech. They may have had zero exposure to NFTs or blockchain before. Therefore the question became, how do we successfully create a platform that seamlessly takes them on this journey into web3?

The solution

We designed and built a website as bold and brash as the WWE fans themselves, with a straightforward user journey, helping them easily navigate the site. With an in-depth ‘About Us’ and ‘FAQs’ page and a profound lack of tech jargon, users can easily digest what is in front of them.

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that this fandom is hardcore. They have an unbreakable passion for all things WWE. So we created the ‘About Moonsault’ page to make web3 concepts easy to grasp.

From a video of Superstar herself, Sonya Deville explaining what an NFT is, to the brand storytelling revolving around fans shaping the future of WWE Universe, the website is carefully crafted to bring fans on board, from the moment they arrive.

The results

The Moonsault site has turned into a community hub for the WWE fandom. As of September 2022, the secondary sales (fans trading with fans) volume was $79,337.92. Plus, the WWE Universe discord hosted on the website now has 6,183 members and rising.

The details are not the details.
They make the design.

Nike asked us to increase their retail footprint in a new and interesting way. To do so, we designed an experience that allowed independent skateboard shops in LA to create their own digital storefront and populate it with a bespoke Nike inventory.

Customers could then purchase the items in-store and get them delivered within the hour. The result? A double digit sales increase, enhanced brand engagement, and a brand new, scalable hyperlocal retail solution.

A retailer of the future

Our work opened up entirely new experiences and locations for Nike and the participating retailers. We helped a global business to innovate within the confines of a traditional retail model and think differently about how they can support their customers, as well as the end consumer.

We are now planning to scale this entire experience to other cities and other shops, while also looking at ways to enable geo-located drops for events.

All to help Nike to continually serve and support the grassroots skating scene.
